Inspiration Contest: Winning Design #2

Very excited to share the invitation suite that we create for another of our April inspiration contest winners, Amanda & Dusty!

The following was the photo Amanda had seen in an inspiration board on Snippet & Ink and submitted as her inspiration:
 

Combining that photo with the additional inspiration that Amanda provided for their wedding, here is the final invitation design that we created for the winning couple -

 

We printed the invitations and coordinating response postcards on a soft textured duplexed cardstock in a bold red ink.

 

We're so pleased with how the final product turned out and send our best to Amanda and Dusty as they enter the home stretch of planning their September wedding!

Welcome... Avery!

In addition to all of the wedding projects we've had underway this summer, we also had the opportunity to work on the announcements of several new arrivals. The first was Avery Paige!

 

We worked with mom-to-be Stacey to design an announcement that incorporated the color scheme of bold and soft pinks used in Avery's nursery as well as a flourished monogram.

Finishing off the design were some of the newborn photos taken by the incredibly talented Mimi of Inglin Photography.

Poor neglected blog. :(

We've been in the midst of peak wedding season since late June and completely buried in ceremony and reception stationery for our summer brides and invitation design and production for our fall and winter brides. We've been busily photographing recent work to share here over the next few weeks. Stay tuned...

Inspiration Contest: Winning Design #1

I'm excited to share the designs we put together for the first of our April contest winners, Karlee & Ben!

Karlee submitted this photo of a necklace from J.Crew as her contest entry, and was selected by our judges as one of the three winners -

 

Using the necklace and Karlee's additional wedding plans as inspiration, here is the invitation suite that we put together -

 
Karlee is planning to have the designs printed in a combination of offset and thermography. I can't wait to see how the final product turns out!

Hello, Adios!

Ever since I first saw the sneak peek of Alejandro Paul's latest font masterpiece - Adios Script - last year, I've been anxiously awaiting its release... well, it's here!

 

I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning! I can't wait to have fun exploring this fantastic new font!

Welcome... Leo!

I always love having the opportunity to work on baby announcements. It's a nice break from working constantly on wedding stationery, to focus on another joyous time in a couple's life. I'm excited to share the announcements, fresh back from the printer, that we designed for clients Tracee and Kevin as they awaited the birth of their second son.

 

Tracee chose to word the announcement from her older son, Jacob, and Leo officially made his appearance in early May. The simple, pinstripe design was letterpressed on a lovely soft white cotton-blend cardstock in baby blue and gray.

 

Congratulations again, Tracee and Kevin, and welcome to the world, Leo!

Marjan & Matthew Are Married!

How's that for a little Monday morning alliteration?

The wedding weekend for clients Marjan & Matthew has now passed - congratulations to the newlyweds!

I first mentioned M&M's wedding when I shared their letterpressed Save the Date designs in this post back in January. It was continuously a fun challenge working with this couple, through wedding planner extraordinaire Talia from Connecticut's Sixpence for Your Shoe.  

Shortly after the Save the Date cards were in the mail to guests around the country, we got to work on the couple's invitations. The invitations incorporated a toned-down Vienna Secession/Art Nouveau look and featured the beautiful calligraphy of Debi from The Blooming Quill.

The main invitation card was engraved in ivory ink on deep purple cardstock -

 

The coordinating enclosure cards, including a list of the weekend's events and a response card and envelope, were engraved in the same purple on ivory cardstock -

 

The pieces were wrapped in a wide band of a saffron-colored lokta paper -

And then they were slipped into the mailing envelopes, featuring a custom-designed patterned liner -

 

We also had the pleasure of creating some pieces for the couple's wedding weekend, including ceremony programs -

 

 

and labels for the CD favors, sending the guests off with some of the couple's favorite tunes -
