Kathy and Jesse were our first clients to get married in 2010 and Kathy just sent me the link to view some of their wedding photos. Seeing the images from their gorgeous wedding gave me the swift kick in the pants to get the photos of the invitations we created for them ready to share on the blog.
In our early communication, Kathy described her style preference as contemporary gothic and was looking for a stylish, edgy invitation design that incorporated real peacock feathers with her black and white color palette. It was so much fun going all-out with some of the preliminary design concepts. For the final design, we opted to go with white engraving on metallic black cardstock for the invitation and black engraving on metallic white cardstock for the coordinating enclosure cards -
Kathy selected a metallic graphite cardstock and a luxurious double-faced silk-satin ribbon in deep peacock teal for her bi-fold holder to house the invitation components -
The invitations were sealed with a real peacock feather on more of that gorgeous teal ribbon and then were placed in a glossy black mailing box -
before being sealed up with custom-printed mailing labels to send off to the awaiting guests -
In addition to the invitations, we also created coordinating dinner menus for the wedding reception and programs for the ceremony -
Take a few minutes to browse the wedding photos from the couple's big day taken by Maloman Photographers. They are too beautiful to miss!
Stunning, Ash!
